Another FACS Project

I have to dedicate this Post to my Wonderful Sister-in-Law, Ashley Heather. I had to create a motivator for my potential students to get them thinking about the lesson. Well, I was having a hard time coming up with an idea and I realized when I saw every other motivator that I was thinking to complex. However, complexities aside, I chose Journal Writing and it was taken from a collaborative idea that Ashley and I came up with when I lived with her. She was trying to come up with a lesson for Achievement Days. So I decided to take it and basically teach the other girls in my class or my "Future High School Students" about Journal Writing... It went well! Thanks Ash! Love Ya! And I miss having a permanent best friend to do things with all the time:(

Journal writing is a voyage to the interior

Christina Baldwin

Some of the most legendary and famous works of literary art were once started as journals.

Lewis and Clarks Journals Harriet Tubman

Charles Darwin Journal Anne Frank/Night

Autobiography: A story of events written by the person those events happened to.

Biography: A Story of events written by someone other than the person those events happened to.

The quote at the top of this page is truly inspiring. Your journal, such an intimate portrait into the person writing in it, is so incredibly important to have. A journal can be shared with others or kept confidential.

Why is it important to write in a journal?

What kinds of things would you write in a journal?

What are some alternative forms of a journal?

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

Mary Anne Radmacher

…and then, write it down!
