Sisters and Brothers!!!!

This is my sister Courtney, my brother Jake, and myself at the air show for Nellis Air Force base. We had a lot of fun. And I love getting together with my family. Jake was brought home in one piece from France in August where he served a full, successful two year mission. And since he has returned I have felt a contributing strength replaced in my life. He is filling the void I have had for the last two years of his mission. And I am exhausting him with my attentions. I love you Jakey!!!!

I'm hooked

Despite my constant efforts to not conform and submit to the man, I stepped away from my fight and relinquished my bitter diatribe for this author and her seriously unrealistic romantically clad literature. Only to prove that these books were childish, immature, and just not worth it...Well I take it back. My name is Amy Kearns and I have a problem. I am in love with a Misunderstood, sophisticated, and exceptionally chivalrous, vampire who goes by the name Edward Cullen. These books are incredibly intense, exciting, and captivating. I know that about thirty thousand other women feel this way about my personal vampire, however I am confident that we will all, someday find our Edward Cullen. Some of you already have. I completely recommend this series, written by Stephenie Meyer, to any girl that ever feels a need or a desire to feel loved. Stephenie has this way of tapping into the feminine psyche, that is both incredibly real and a little scary. It's funny how broad human emotion is and how one book can touch so many women with different lives and different personalities. Tonight I will finish the most recent of this enigmatic series and in my ocean of descriptive jargon all I really meant to say was that these books are amazing and I have had a lot of fun with them. I can't wait for the next addition to come next fall. Go Stephenie.

We were totally born in the wrong decade!!!!!

You had a bad day!

I had a Horrible Day at work today. Does anyone else just have those days at work? I walked in with a great attitude and was completely blown away by the horrifically devastating events that led to the kind of day I had. I like what I do. Well I loved what I was doing, and then got offered a lot more money to do what I am doing now, and therefore I took it. But I never expected to have this kind of day. It’s even hard to talk about it. But I know if I blog about it, I can use it as therapy and look forward to tomorrows bright hopes for a better day. Comment about your bad day if you will.

Gilmore Girls

I am, at the moment, on my laptop while simultaneously watching my very favorite television show...Gilmore Girls. It is so therapeutic to sit on the couch after a fulfilling day and watch a show that you love. One of my favorite simple pleasures in life (when I find the time) is to rent an entire season of Gilmore Girls and watch the entire season. Entire series season watching is quite the way to watch television these days. Think about it...when you watch a series on DVD, you don't have to sit through commercial after commercial, and not only that but guess what else! When you watch a TV series week by week you have to wait an entire week to see what happens to your favorite characters in the series, how 20th century is that ? However when you watch a TV series with my method of choice (DVD Style), you get the excellent benefit of not having to watch commercials and not having to wait an entire week to find out what happens next. DVD Series watching is the best way to watch TV!!!!

Spiders and sisters

On February 24Th, 2007 my brother Benjamin joined the married train. He married Ashley Suzanne Hunsaker. This is a picture of an emotional Amy hugging my big brother.
I Love Ben. He introduced me to a lot in life. We are two years apart and when I was six and he was eight, he defined an improper fraction as the country singer Dolly Parton. You may think that this is unnecessarily vulgar and quite childish, but I will have you know there hasn't been a day since that one that I have not remembered the definition of an improper fraction. I must have been in first grade and I have to say I was leagues ahead of the other children the day we discussed improper fractions when I finally got to the third grade.
Ben also introduced me to my first Boy/Girl party. When I got to the seventh grade Ben and I got involved with the same friends. I vaguely remember him inviting me to a Boy/Girl dance party but I definitively remember standing in our Oklahoman drive way, waiting for a ride, asking him tons of expectation questions. He told me it would be alright and I would eventually get used to it. I had so much fun. Thus began a series of parties with our cherished Oklahoma friends. So Ben really did introduce me to a lot in life.
On a funnier note, a story I will never forget is the live aracnophobic experience. Let me explain. One night Ben and I crept out of our beds, walked down the hall to the family room, and decided we were not going to bed, but rather we would stay up as late as we wanted and watch television. Well there isn't a lot on television at midnight so we ended up watching Arachnophobia, because it was the only movie that was available on TV. I remember watching the entire movie and then walking to my room. Now just to explain the dynamics of our house, my bedroom was connected to the boy's bedroom with a Jack and Jill bathroom. Well when I was scared, I would leave those doors open so that if the monster in my nightmares came to life, I could run to my heroic brother and he would rescue me from whatever dream I was in. This was a special night though, as I went to bed not too scared of spiders, I was lying there and all of the sudden I started to hear this unfamiliar scream. I jumped from my bed ran into Ben's room only to find him screaming under his covers because there was a spider crawling toward him on his wall. Poor kid was traumatized and I'm sure if you asked him he would tell you he hasn't watched Arachnophobia since that night.

Em's Wedding

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to a college roommate's wedding. She looked beautiful! (Pictures are above) I was accompanied by some of my best friends. I went with my friend Tyree, and our two other good friends from SUU, Glen and James...who are comparable to Batman and Robin, Peanut butter and Jelly, Anne Shirley and Dianna Berry! (okay that was a little far fetched) but you get the idea. Just throw in any dynamic duo of your choice. We had so much fun! College is the best. I love the lasting friendships you make in college. I have so many fun times with these people. I remember one certain spring afternoon when these boys thought it would be a wonderful idea to play a little joke on my roommates and I. Okay to be perfectly honest I don't really remember what started this charade, however I do remember it took hours of driving each others car. Glen (on the left of me) some how found out where I hid my spare car key, which was in a really strange place ask me sometime and I will share. He broke into my apartment, confiscated the key, and then proceeded to take my car into Cedar City and hide it so I could not find it for hours. He later told me that he had a job interview and got that done while out with my car. Needless to say, new job for Glen or not, I was a little less than pleased. This was not a new scene for Glen and I. We had the same car (a Toyota 4runner) and although mine was much nicer, younger, and cleaner he seemed to think this was up for a constant competition. So on some occasions I would come out to the car from class or work and my car would be decorated with the likes of Glen all over it. At a party late in the spring semester Glen decided to dip his hand in the blue birthday cake frosting and cover my face and clothes in it. So what did I do? I covered his car in the rest of the cake, it was classic. So are gone the days of making people's lives a living joke...but aha I am moving into a new apartment complex we shall see who's life I can joke with now. MWAHAHA...MWAHAHA!!!

Besty Chiggens

This is such a fun picture! This is my best friend Beccs and I. This picture was taken last year during awards season. So...confession? My friends and I will find any reason to throw a party. We have so much fun. No matter what the awards show is we will have a party. So if you consider Sags, Golden Globes, People's Choice, Academy Awards, and our personal favorite the Tony Awards, we get together a lot. Not to mention every reality based television show ever created. But these are significant because we not only have let's say a bachelor premiere party, but we have intermittent parties for televised episodes and the party to trump other parties is of course the Bachelor Final Rose party. Where we are regularly in love with the untouchable wealthy bachelor, pining for one of the girls to get that last rose while simultaneously trashing her usually horrible and caddy opponent. My best friend is usually with me at everyone of these events. We have to support each other, it's crucial. I will say the support is well received because at any given party the need for tissues is sometimes apparent. Whether they are tears of joy and happiness or tears of anger because the stupid biz-natch was just chosen by the now skeezy bachelor, the need for the tissues is there none the less. I love our parties and we will always have them because they are my friends and I love them.

The Everyday

The title of my blog is attached with serious consideration. What is "The Everyday"? Well my everyday is always interesting and always extremely busy. It's always the same, although sometimes when you least expect, when your day is going exactly the way it usually goes...you are thrown a curve. You have to change your everyday or more likely it changes you. What is the criteria for having an everyday?
