Julie Rose Yardley

This is Julie Rose. She is my Brother-in-law's little sister and she is incredible. She tried out to sing the theme song for
EFY 2009 "Firm in the Faith". This link should allow you to listen to the beautiful gift she has. I have always looked to Julie in awe. Julie's brother Marc and my sister Julie Kearns Rose were married ten years ago in the Salt lake Temple. Julie Rose Yardley sang at their wedding and I will never forget it. It was beautiful. I remember being very young and thinking that I wanted to sing someday just like Julie. We became friends that day ten years ago and have remained good friends ever since. In high school she even invited me and one of my best friends to come out and visit her on two or three different occasions and we went. We had so much fun. The weeks were full of late night runs to fast food places, games, movies with her friends, swimming, the beach and even the greatest and most exhilerating cable premiere known to female fans ages 10 to 50... NSYNC: MADISON SQUARE GARDEN CONCERT. Do you remember that Jules? We had a lot of good times. Anyways I am going to continue to pray that she gets this because I think she has the most beautiful ever and this song is so pretty. Go Julie!

Jakey Baby

I really don't like this picture of myself. However I love my baby brother Jakey. He is the most incredible brother. He is always so full of insight and advice far beyond his years and I really love that he includes me in his life as much as he does. Today is his 22nd birthday and I just can't think of someone who deserves to be celebrated more than this guy. We have yet to live close to each other since he returned from his mission. We can never get in the same place. But we talk on the phone a ton and are into each other's lives. I love you Jake and the person you have become.

My Sister Julie

So if blogger hadn't been so lame yesterday I could have blogged this on her real birthday, but as it happened I am a day late. My Beautiful, loving, compassionate, and funny sister turned 32 yesterday and I wanted to pay tribute to her and the wonderful woman that she is. She is the greatest mother, sister, wife, confidant, or friend you could ever have. Everyone who meets Julie loves her and everything that she does is beautiful. She puts incredible creativity into her work as a homemaker and her family. She has the most beautiful family and they were heaven sent. She is the greatest older sister, giving advice when asked, what's funny is when you don't ask she still gives it to you but those are the times you need it the most. I have grown up believing that we share one heart. I've always been sure of one thing in my life. When Julie and I were little my mom used to tell us that when we were given the trials we would face on the earth neither one of us could bear to let the other go through it alone so we volunteered to do it together. To have the same exact trial as your sister is incredible but we have always done well at helping each other through it. Julie and I, through the years, have had many an opportunity to figure out that we not only share a trial in life, but we also share a heart. There are so many times in this life that we have felt the pain, sorrow, and even happiness of the other at the exact same time. It's incredible. Last summer I was going through a rough time personally. I was driving from my parents home to my apartment at about midnight, which made it 1:00 a.m. in Texas. I was really upset about something and just kept feeling like I should call my sister or if I could just talk to her I would be okay. Because she wakes up early with her little ones I knew this was not a possibility. As I was getting to the halfway point in my drive, my phone rang and it was Julie. My sister, so in tune with the spirit, got out of bed to call me because she felt like she should. I was so overcome with emotion that I had to pull off on the next exit and I am pretty sure that we both just sobbed for at least 15 straight minutes. She feels what I feel and I feel what she does. When we took the great sorrowful trial in heaven and shared it, we also took half of the other's heart, making the them complete. She is my best friend and my soul mate for the rest of my life and beyond. Happy Birthday my sister I love you!

Happy Birthday TayKay

This is a picture of my niece Taylor "Teacup"Rose. As strange as it sounds, because of the adoption dynamics in my family, Taylor was the first of the grandkids to join the Kearns Family even though Tyler is actually a few weeks older. She was the first of the nieces and nephews that I ever got to hold. I remember it was the week I was graduating from high school. As busy as I was that week, I was running around like a crazy person, I got a phone call from my brother that said there was an emergency at home and I needed to come home right away. I was kind of sad that week because my sister told me she wouldn't make it to my graduation because Taylor was just born two weeks earlier and she couldn't get away from California. Well after being scared and walking out of a play because I thought there was an emergency at home, I sped home only to find my entire family gathered together to introduce me to my first niece ever. I walked in and just cried as I held my niece for the first time. It was a special moment in my life and I will never forget it. Taylor Katherine Rose. I remember thinking that she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. We have always had such a great relationship as Taylor gets so excited to do anything girly and grown up. I took this picture after doing her hair really cute and putting a little make up on her. I miss Taylor when we are not together. I hope your dreams come true this year. I love you Tay Kay.

Oreos made from scratch

I made these tonight and they were really easy and really yummy. Although if anyone has a really good white frosting recipe I want it. This recipe was just alright. But the cookies are made from German Chocolate Cake mix and they are really easy the entire recipe took me about 30 minutes from start to finish. And they cool really fast.
Hopefully I will be blogging more now that finals are done. So stay tuned.

Tyler Man Rose

Happy Birthday. I love my nephew Tyler Marcus Rose so much. He remains my first love forever. The second he came into our family we created a bond that has been six years in the making and it is so strong. This sweetest little boy melts the hearts of all he comes in contact with. He is so funny and so endearing.
